M.B.B.S. M.S.

(GENERAL AND LAPAROSCOPIC SURGEON)

AREA OF PRACTICE

HEPATOBILIARY SURGERY

Hepatobiliary surgery is a type of surgery that deals with the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and other parts of the biliary tract. The procedures can range from minor operations like cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder) to more complex surgeries such as liver transplantation or bile duct reconstruction. The main aim of this type of surgery is to treat diseases or conditions affecting the liver, bile ducts and gallbladder.

HERNIA SURGERY

Hernia surgery is a procedure to repair a hernia, which is a bulge or protrusion of an internal organ or tissue through a weak point in the muscle or connective tissue that holds it in place. There are several types of hernias, including inguinal, femoral, hiatal, and umbilical hernias. Hernia surgery can be performed using open or laparoscopic techniques.

Open hernia repair involves a single large incision in the affected area and is typically performed under general anesthesia. The hernia is pushed back into place and the weak point in the muscle or connective tissue is strengthened or repaired.

BREAST SURGERY

Breast surgery is done for a wide range of conditions . Some are benign conditions like fibroadenoma , duct ectesia , duct papilloma etc.

The most common indication of complete breast removal with lymph node dissection (also known as Modified Radical Mastectomy ) is done for malignancies of breast .

ACUTE ABDOMINAL SURGERY

Acute abdominal surgery refers to a surgical procedure performed on a patient with a sudden onset of severe abdominal symptoms, such as severe pain, swelling, or other symptoms requiring prompt surgical intervention. This type of surgery may be performed to diagnose, treat, or manage a variety of conditions, such as appendicitis, bowel obstruction, perforated ulcer, ectopic pregnancy, diverticulitis, and many others. The goal of acute abdominal surgery is to stabilize the patient's condition and prevent further complications.

LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses small incisions and special instruments to perform surgery within the abdominal or pelvic cavities. The procedure is performed with the aid of a laparoscope, a thin, lighted tube equipped with a camera, which is inserted through one of the incisions and provides the surgeon with a magnified view of the inside of the body. This type of surgery results in less pain, scarring, and recovery time compared to traditional open surgery. Some common laparoscopic procedures include removal of the gallbladder, appendectomy, and certain gynecological surgeries.
